Govinda comeback...!!!

Govinda seems to be on a roll, signing the third film after announcing his comeback to Bollywood

The actor has signed director duo Raj and DK’s next film tentatively titled Happy Ending, co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D’Cruz.

The actor is already working in Vipul Shah’s remake of Tamil blockbuster Thuppaki, directed by AR Murgodoss. Govinda will also play a negative lead for the first time in Aditya Chopra’s Kill Dil, helmed by Shaad Ali.
Says Raj Nidimoru, “We have been huge fans of Govinda for a long time and we thought that it would be a great idea to have him in the film. He is a great addition to our cast and comedy is his strength.”
After a string of flops at the box office, sources from the industry say Govinda was on an all-time low. An insider says, “He hit the gym, got back into shape and disciplined himself to ensure that his comeback would be bigger and better. That he has signed three big banner films proves he is back with a bang.”
There was also buzz a while ago that Govinda could soon be doing a film with his Partner co-star Salman Khan.

'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again' 'This time it is personal'..!!!

A bitchy actress called to say that the tagline of Ekta Kapoor's forthcoming film with Akshay Kumar reads: 'This time it is personal'

Considering that the film is locking horns with the Rohit Shetty directed Shah Rukh Khan starrer, is this her way of saying it loud and clear to get even at the box office?

'Ship of Theseus' can change your life...!!!

This is yet another indie film that despite doing the international festival rounds didn't find any takers for a release in India

That was until Kiran Rao decided to present Ship of Theseus after the film impressed her. It has now been selected by the British Council for its list of movies that can change your life.

A source from the organisation says, “A group of critics under the Critics Circle of the British Council selected the film for the coveted list. Some of the other films that have received the honour are Annie Hall, Raging Bull, The Battle of Algiers and Hamlet.
The film explores questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker. It has been an eye-opener for a lot of its audience members.”
An ecstatic Gandhi says, “Derek Malcolm, one of the members of the Critics Circle chose my film. It’s an honour to be part of a film that can actually change someone’s life.”

Jagga Jasoos-"Ranbir Kapoor" for Anurag Basu

After mesmerising audiences with his performance as mute Barfi in Anurag Basu's film with the same name, the actor is all set to play a detective in the director's next 'Jagga Jasoos'

The 30-year-old, who was present at the special screening of his film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', confirmed the news.

Letting out that he is playing a detective in 'Jagga Jasoos', Ranbir said, "Yes, this is our second film together. It's a detective film."
The film is set to go on the floors next year. Basu has also written the film.
Besides, the actor has two more films with Basu - 'Bombay Velvet' and a biopic on late legendary singer-composer Kishore Kumar. But the biopic has been shelved for sometime.
In a very short time Ranbir has impressed with his acting skills and he gives credit to his late legednary grandfather Raj Kapoor for his success.
"I am standing here just because of Raj Kapoor. He showed me the way," said Ranbir when asked to share some memory of Raj Kapoor, whose 25th death anniversary falls on June 2.
Raj Kapoor, known as the Showman of Indian cinema, proved his mettle with his work in 'Awara', 'Shree 420' and 'Mera Naam Joker'. The winner of two National Awards, nine Filmfare awards and many other recognitions, he gave a strong base to the Indian cinema.
He died on June 2 in 1988.
"I hope he would be smiling at me watching me in the films that I am doing and he is proud of me," said Ranbir, who has carved a niche for himself in his five-year-old career with films like 'Raajneeti', 'Wake Up Sid!' and 'Rockstar' among others.

IS Ranbir Kapoor's mother was the reason for break-up ...!!!!

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has denied reports that his mother being the reason behind his split with actress Deepika Padukone, claiming it was their own individual choice

Ranbir, 30, and Deepika, 27, began dating when they met on the sets of 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' in 2008 and the couple split after a year

"It's an issue between two individuals, but people work on several theories and then disturb things. My mother loves me a lot and wants me to live my own life. My mother is also very fond of Deepika. So, at least this was not the reason for the split. I want to clarify, my mother was not the reason for the break-up," Ranbir said on a television show.
There were reports that the actor broke-up with the 'Cocktail' star because Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor did not approve of their relationship. Ranbir attended the show to promote his latest release 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' alongwith co-star Deepika. However, the actress says that despite their break-up Ranbir continues to be one of her good friends who gives his feedback on her performances.
"We have been friends since our break-up and shall continue to remain friends," Deepika added. In Ayan Mukherji directed film, which hit theatres today, Ranbir is seen doing some similar dance steps as his uncle Shammi Kapoor in 'Badtameez Dil'. On being compared with the late 'Junglee' star, Ranbir said, "Let me tell you a big secret. Shammi Kapoor was technically not a good dancer. His steps were wrong, but his greatness was that he brought wonderful expressions while dancing, whether romancing or enjoying himself on screen. I never tried to copy his style. People say there is some shadow of Shammi Kapoor on my dancing because of my family, but I've never copied him."
Ranbir also expressed his desire to work with three Khans - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir - in a film. "Even if they just stand behind my sofa, with me in front, that film would be runaway hit," he said.

Salman-Katrina together again...!!!

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif to share screen once again, this time apparently only for an item number

They may have parted ways many seasons ago, but buzz is that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif might come together to shake a leg for an item number in an upcoming film.

According to insiders, director Sawan Kumar Tak has approached the former sweethearts to perform in an item number for the sequel of his 1983 film Souten.
A source says, “Sawan Kumar has been wanting to make Souten 2 from a very long time now. Lot of people thought that the sequel would never work out. But looks like there has been some progress on the project.”
An insider adds, “The film gave some memorable tracks including Shayad meri shaadi ka khayal but the sequel will have a different kind of music.”
Despite repeated attempts, Sawan Kumar’s phone number was not reachable.
An SMS from Katrina’s spokesperson read, “…not that I know of.”

Farhan Akhtar in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'

Playing a world-class athlete is no mean task

And no one knows it better than Farhan Akhtar. For a 60-second shot in his upcoming Milkha Singh biopic, the director-turned-actor had to undergo a gruelling training session over four months.

Is sana Khan missing ???

HitList unearths some startling facts about this Salman Khan heroine who has been accused of trying to kidnap a 15-year-old

The tinsel town has been buzzing with rumours ever since Sana Khan came under the spotlight recently for her alleged role in an attempted kidnapping case. Soon Sana went underground prompting people to wonder aloud about her whereabouts

However, close friend and her Mental co-star Salman Khan immediately took to his microblogging site in support of the starlet. TV actor Rajev Paul also vouched for Sana’s innocence.
Sana is wanted by the police for allegedly helping her distant relative in trying to ambush a 15-year-old girl in Vashi. The starlet has already applied for an anticipatory bail.
Sana’s outburst
When buzz about her disappearing act started making noise, Sana took to Facebook on May 24 to vent her anger against the accusers. She wrote, “People have found easy way to earn money, but I will not let them do tht with me, I will fight and get the real story out for everyone out there!!!” (sic)
Victim of circumstances?
When our correspondent knocked on Sana’s comfortable two-BHK home in Oshiwara, the domestic help opened the door and in the due course informed us that Sana’s mother Sayeeda had been recuperating from a brain hemorrhage. An aunt from Baroda was at home taking care of Sana’s mother in her absence. Sayeeda apparently doesn’t know that her daughter is wanted by the cops.
With sticky tape holding her eyes open(due to her medical condition she can’t keep her eyes open), Sana’s mom was resting in the family’s living room. The TV too apparently hasn’t been switched on ever since news about Sana’s escapade was announced.
The aunt, on conditions of anonymity said, “We don’t want Sana’s mother to know about it. She is already suffering.”
According to the family, trouble ensued when Sana had tried to intervene between a romance gone wrong between her cousin and his alleged ladylove. While her family admits Sana was wrong to mediate in a lover’s tiff, they think her participation was blown out of proportion.
For mum’s sake
Sana’s aunt told us that she would be returning home within three days from a friend’s house where she is currently put up. She added, “Right now Sana doesn’t want to come out in public. She wants to avoid any chaos that could affect her mother’s health.”
Apparently the starlet’s father works as a cab driver in Dubai and Sana, who is the only child, has been taking care of her ailing mother for years. Incidentally, the family says that Salman has been helping Sana out with the legal procedures.
Sana’s aunt adds, “The girl’s family even threatened to file a case against her if she didn’t compensate them with Rs 50 lakh.”
The building watchman informed us that Sana had not been home for the past few days. Apparently the white BMW that she drives has also been missing.
Salman’s support for Sana
Sallu tweeted: “Y wld a girl kidnap a 15 year old? Fr money? To get her married, At 4pm in a populated area.investigate the complainants. Kamaal hai yaar”
It looks like ever since the buzz about Sana Khan’s role in the attempted kidnapping case surfaced, several skeletons are now tumbling out of the closet. If rumours are to be believed the starlet is already married to a man called Asif Khan.
During her stay in the Bigg Boss house last year, Sana was romantically linked with TV actors Vishal Karwal and Rajev Paul. There were rumours that even before she volunteered to get locked up in the house, she had already been dating Vishal. Her confessing on the show of being fond of the actor only fanned those rumours further.
However, sources say that Sana tied the knot even before making her foray into the industry. Not only does her husband manage her work but also helped Sana bag some plum work offers.
A source says, “As her husband is very close to Salman Khan, it was not surprising that she got picked for Bigg Boss. He has been helping her shape her career.”
Those close to her say that Sana is very cagey about her personal life with others and most of her friends don’t know where her husband lives.

Sensual Emraan-Vidya kiss scene

Siddarth, Vidya's husband, is the head of this production house. If I want to do more films with them, then let's not talk about it," Emraan told reporters at the promotional event of "Ghanchakkar" here Thursday.

Actress Vidya Balan, who is playing a Punjabi woman for the first time, says she took training to get the Punjabi accent.
"I took training to get the Punjabi accent. I first learnt gaalis and that's the easiest way to learn any language. The character was so loud that I didn't want the character to pull me down," she said.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, "Ghanchakkar" features Vidya and Emraan in the lead. The film is slated for a June 28 release.

"Iron Man 3" with USD 1.14b earning

'Iron Man 3' has displaced 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' to become the fifth top-grossing film of all time with 1.14 billion dollars earnings, according to online movie tracker Box Office Mojo.

The first two spots in the list has been taken by ‘Avatar’ and ‘Titanic’ with ‘Avengers Assemble’ and the final ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’ claiming the next two places, the BBC reported.
However, once figures are adjusted for inflation, none of the titles feature in the US domestic all-time top 100, which is headed by ‘Gone With the Wind.’

Sudha Chandran Bollywood comeback

Sudha Chandran has been shooting for Arvind Tripathi's film in which she co-stars with Rajpal Yadav

The Nache Mayuri actress makes a comeback in Bollywood after seven years. Her last B-Town outing was Malaamal Weekly, also with Rajpal. Sudha seems to be continuing with her big bindi act which she was popular for during her Kaahin Kissii Roz show days almost a decade ago.

Spot difference in 'Shortcut Romeo' poster

Ameesha Patel has changed her clothes and in full public view.

The poster of her upcoming film has the actress in a red hot dress with a gun in hand. When the poster of Susi Ganesh’s film starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, Puja Gupta and Ameesha was initially released, it had her in shorts and an unbuttoned shirt.
In the revised poster everything else remains the same except for Ameesha. It looks like the actress wanted to stand out from the rest. As she was wearing clothes similar to her co-star Puja, she perhaps wanted to attract attention in a brighter shade.
About her dress change Ameesha says, “As I play a character with grey shades, I felt a gun in hand and a bright outfit was necessary. The initial poster made the film look like a love triangle which it is not.” Ah.

A fitness freak, Bipasha has also asked the makers of the film to recreate a portable mini gym for her in Ooty. Apparently she does not want to give her exercise regime a miss.

Akshay downplays box office battle with Shah Rukh this Eid

This Eid two superstars - Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar - will be clashing at the box office with their respective films, but the latter says too much should not be read into this and hoped both movies will do robust business. "I don't take it as Shah Rukh vs Akshay

Two films releasing together is a positive thing. Eid is a big day and both films will do well. One should not see too much into this," Akshay said this evening. He was speaking to reporters here at the first look launch of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again' (OUATIMA).

Ever since Salman Khan's 'Wanted' hit the theatres on Eid in 2009 and did roaring business, it had almost become a tradition for the actor to have a release around that time of the year

But he has no film releasing on Eid this year. Two movies, 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2' and 'Chennai Express', will compete at the box office around the festival on August 8. 'Chennai Express' is a romantic comedy directed by Rohit Shetty and it stars Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone.
The Milan Luthria-directed 'Once Upon A Time...' is a gangster-romantic flick with Akshay, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha as protagonists. It is a sequel to the 2010 hit 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai'.
Last year, Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar' released during Diwali. The battle between the two films took an ugly turn when Ajay filed a case accusing Yash Raj Films of abusing its dominant position.
Also, the promo of 'OUATIMA' will release alongside Karan Johar's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. This led to rumours that Karan was favouring Akshay over good friend Shah Rukh. When asked about the same, Akshay said, "I don't think it is right to say such things. Our promo was ready hence it is coming with this film ('Yeh Jawaani...'). We all are friends here. After all we are from same fraternity."

'Salman biggest thing in Bollywood'

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez, who will be seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kick", says working with the star is like a "dream come true" for her

Jacqueline had to face tough competition from her counterparts Deepika Padukone and Sonkashi Sinha, who were also considered to play the lead opposite Salman, 47, in the film.

"It will definitely be a dream come true to work with someone like Salman Khan because he is the biggest thing right now in Bollywood," said the 27-year-old actress at the launch of a new mobile phone here Tuesday.
The actress, however, refused to divulge any further details about the film.
"Housefull" item number "Dhanno" was Jacqueline's first outing with Nadiadwala, followed by a full-fledged role in "Housefull 2".
The actress will next be seen grooving to an item number in "Ramaiya Vastavaiya", releasing July 19.

'Yeh Jawaani...' to break 10-year jinx for Bollywood in Israel

Since the 2002 film "Devdas", no Bollywood film is said to have hit screens in Israel. Now, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" will break the dry spell Friday

The movie, subtitled in Hebrew for the audiences there, will release in India and Israel on the same day. Eros International is releasing the Ayan Mukerji-directed romantic entertainer in that countr

"There is a huge demand for these movies since Israelis and the local Indian population over there are fond of Indian content," Kumar Ahuja, president (Business Development), Eros International, said in a statement.
"Earlier, Bollywood content was available on DVDs and Indian channels, but this can very well be called the beginning of theatrical age of Hindi movies in Israel," he added.
Ahuja said Israel was devoid of any Bollywood films in the last decade as "there was no solid distributor until now and getting prints of the movie is an expensive process".
Now Shai Motion Pictures, an Israeli distributor, has invested in a portable projector which gives them the mobility to showcase movies at different locations at a lesser cost, added Ahuja.
The foreign distributors are equally thrilled about the film, which also features Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur.
"We are looking forward to it. It is after a long gap, after 'Devdas', that any Indian movie will release here. This itself calls for celebration and we are anticipating good numbers," said Shai Solomon of Shai Motion Pictures.
In India, the movie is expected to release in over 3,000 screens, tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

'Creature' is similar to 'Jurassic Park': Vikram Bhatt

Director Vikram Bhatt says his upcoming movie 'Creature' is similar to 'Jurassic Park', the landmark Hollywood film on dinosaurs

'Jurassic Park' is a 1993 American science fiction adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. This film centered on the fictional Isla Nublar near Costa Rica's Pacific Coast, where a billionaire philanthropist and a small team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of cloned dinosaurs.
Reportedly, 'Creature' will be set in a menacing forest that will house certain humoungous and dangerous creatures. But Vikram refused to divulge any further details about the project. The film stars Bipasha Basu in the lead and this is the third time that Vikram and Bipasha have teamed up after 'Raaz' and 'Raaz 3'.
The shooting for the film will begin in Ooty and it is expected to hit the screens this year.

Rishi is more charming than Ranbir: Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit, who recently worked with Ranbir for a special song in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' prefers Rishi Kapoor over his son

Currently Ranbir Kapoor seems to be the toast of tinsel town. While filmmakers are chasing the actor for their films, most actresses are dying to work with him. However, Madhuri Dixit, who has worked with Ranbir as well as his dad Rishi Kapoor, feels that the veteran actor is a bag of charm.

While Mads has appeared alongside Rishi in films like Sahibaan and Yaraana, she features in an item number in Ranbir’s upcoming film helmed by Ayan Mukerji.

Says Madhuri, “Rishiji is charmer for sure. He is very sweet and I had lot of fun whenever I worked with him. Ranbir is shy. On the sets, he too was very nice.”
However, the actress feels that the younger RK is one of the best actors in town right now. “It was like a mutual admiration club on the sets. He is a risk taker and earns the applause for it rightly. That way he encourages directors and producers to make different kinds of films.”
The dhak dhak diva is also impressed with Ranbir’s dancing skills. “As a dancer he is terrific. He has a lot of energy and we had a blast together.”

Actress Priyanka Chopra's looks may not have any similarities with boxer Mary Kom, but she is working hard to get into shape to play the Olympic bronze medalist in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film

The 30-year-old actress, who doesn't shy away from shedding glamorous image to try different characters as she did in 'Kaminey' and 'Barfi!', finds the journey of Mary Kom, a girl from Manipur who went on to become five-time world champion, inspiring.
"It's not a biopic but it is a film, which is inspired by her life. I personally find her journey very inspiring. This film talks about how to grab the right opportunity, work hard and how sheer hard work can bring success. I am very nervous about the film as it is very close to my heart," Priyanka said.
To be directed by Bhansali, the film will go on the floors by June.
The 30-year-old Mary Kom was honoured with Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour, this year.
